Ekaterina Rozhdestvenskaya was born on July 2, 1998, in Russia. She began her music education in Moscow, specializing in flute performance. Ekaterina completed her initial studies at the Academic Music School of the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory, where she graduated with distinction. She continued her education at the prestigious Moscow Conservatory, earning her diploma with honors under the guidance of Professor Alexander Golyschev.

In 2022, Ekaterina moved to Germany to pursue her Bachelor’s degree in orchestral performance (flute) at the Hochschule für Künste Bremen, studying with Professor Andreas Maeder. Ekaterina has extensive experience as a flute teacher, having taught private and group lessons since 2017.

Her professional orchestral experience is notable; she has held positions as a substitute flutist with ensembles like the Kammerensemble Konsonans and the Neue Philharmonie Hamburg. Ekaterina has also performed with the Junges Philharmonisches Orchester Niedersachsen and has contributed to various festivals, including performances with the Philharmonie Westfalen.

Before relocating to Germany, Ekaterina performed extensively in Russia. She held principal and substitute positions with leading Russian orchestras such as the Moscow State Symphony Orchestra, the Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Tchaikovsky Grand Symphony Orchestra. She also performed regularly with the Sonorus Chamber Orchestra and RockestraLive in Moscow.

Throughout her career, Ekaterina has worked with renowned conductors such as Yuri Simonov, Vladimir Fedoseyev, and Vladimir Spivakov. She actively participates in masterclasses with flutists like Sebastian Jacot, Andrea Lieberknecht, and Mario Caroli.

Ekaterina has been recognized for her talents in multiple competitions, including a third prize at the Royal Maas Competition in the Netherlands (2024). She has also received several scholarships, including the Presidential Scholarship of the Russian Federation and awards from the Vladimir Spivakov Foundation and the “New Names” Foundation. Fluent in Russian, she speaks German and English as well.
