Ana Isabel Navarro is a Chilean contralto and vocal instructor currently based in Berlin, celebrated for her rich voice and versatility across opera, early music, and contemporary repertoire.
With a degree in Arts from the Universidad de Chile, she has performed extensively in her home country, including a long-standing role with the Camerata Vocal and a faculty position at the university. Trained by Carmen Luisa Letelier Valdés, Ana gained national recognition early in her career, placing third in the “Mujeres en la Música” competition. In Germany, she specialized in Early Music at the Universität der Künste and pursued advanced studies in vocal physiology and therapy, refining her technical expertise.
In Berlin, Ana has captivated audiences with performances at prestigious venues, working with groups like Ensemble Vocal Consort Berlin and Sirventes Berlin’s "Noonsongs" series. Recent solo engagements include Carl Orff's Trionfi at the Staatsoper Hamburg and a range of Bach Cantatas at Kammermusiksaal Friedenau. Known for her ability to adapt her voice to diverse styles, Ana’s repertoire covers iconic works from Beethoven, Handel, and Mahler to Schnittke and contemporary composers, reflecting her broad artistic reach. Her collaborations span esteemed European conductors and ensembles, making her a dynamic presence in the classical and early music scenes across Europe and Chile.
